ExpressJet Announces CRJ Reductions

Sisters and Brothers:

The Company made the announcement today that they will be furloughing Flight Attendants on the CRJ side of the operation. At this time, the length of furloughs will greatly depend on additional flying opportunities, pilot staffing and Flight Attendant attrition.

While the Union did negotiate potential opportunities for CRJ flight attendants in the ERJ operation via the LOA #17 Preferential Hire Program, at this time there are no vacancies on the ERJ side. The Company does not anticipate vacancies on the ERJ side through the end of the year. But as we all know circumstances in our industry can change very quickly. The preferential hiring program would provide the option for furloughed members to be hired under the ERJ contract once there are vacancies.

If you are one of the affected Flight Attendants, please ensure your address/contact information is up to date per Section 16.C.1.

The IAM will continue to meet with the Company in the coming days and weeks and will do all we can to minimize the effect this will have on our Flight Attendants. If you have any questions regarding insurance, workers compensation or your benefits through the Union please contact Marche Johnson Cooper at 770-403-1076 or or Sara Gonzales at .

Please sign up for IAM District 142 emails at www.iamDL142.org if you have not already done so. This will allow you to stay informed with the most accurate and up to date information possible.

In solidarity,
