ExpressJet FA: INTERSTATE 85 BRIDGE COLLAPSE IN ATLANTA

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

On Thursday, March 30, part of Interstate 85, near Piedmont Road collapsed north of downtown Atlanta, after a massive fire broke out.  It has been reported that all five lanes of the highway in each direction will be closed for the foreseeable future.   Georgia DOT has warned all motorists to stay off I-85 near Midtown as Transportation authorities are putting together a traffic plan, if you can take Marta to the airport, you can find Marta schedules at https://www.itsmarta.com.

If for any reason you are having issues commuting into work, please provide as much documentation as possible to show the hazardous or closed roads in your area, such as news reports or pictures. In addition, make sure to follow the guidelines of your CBA whether CRJ or ERJ.

For those of you who are flying please stay safe, as your safety is the first priority. If you are having a scheduling issue, make note of time you spoke with scheduling and also take screen shots if necessary.   Don’t forget to contact your grievance representatives if you have any questions.

In Solidarity,
