NGPLogoWe are pleased to announce for the first time, we have organized a system-wide enrollment at our ExpressJet bases for National Group Protection (NGP) supplemental benefits that are available to you as an IAM member.

National Group Protection (NGP) will be in the crew rooms in February and March to conduct a supplemental benefits enrollment for IAMAW District 142 members at ExpressJet.  Please meet in person with a benefit counselor to enroll or make changes to your existing coverage.  Members can enroll in any of the crew rooms, not just your base location.

Accident Insurance    ·    Cancer Insurance    ·    Critical Illness Coverage

Short Term Disability    ·    Whole Life Insurance

There are some benefit enhancements/upgrades this year, so please take the time to sit down with a benefit counselor and review your options.  This is also an excellent time to make sure you have filed for your annual health screening benefits, which are part of the accident, cancer and critical illness benefit plans.

  • Supplemental – these plans supplement any existing coverage
  • Limited Underwriting – no medical or physical exams required
  • Family Coverage – available with all of the plans (except disability)
  • Portable – members can continue coverage if they leave the company (except disability)

IAMfor10.Cloud#IAMfor10 Flight Attendant Fatigue Amendment PASSED!

We did it!  Ten hours rest and a FAA mandated Fatigue Risk Management Program for Flight Attendants is in the FAA Reauthorization Bill (Aviation Innovation, Reform and Reauthorization Act of 2016, AIRR Act)!

This is a huge win but the fight doesn’t stop here, this is just the beginning.  We have won the first battle, however there are still billion dollar companies lobbying against us.  Our power is in our collective voice.

Join us March 16th to continue our #IAMfor10 fight for 10 hours rest and a FAA mandated Fatigue Risk Management Program for Flight Attendants.  We will be having a rally and lobbying event in Washington, DC and this is your chance to make your voice heard!

March 16th        –              Washington, D.C.

10:30 a.m.                           Rally for Rest at U.S. Capitol

                   12:00 – 4:00 p.m.              Congressional Office Visits

Be a part of history!

If you have questions or can join us on Capitol Hill to fight for our rights please email

This achievement has truly been a team effort and shows how much we can accomplish through solidarity.  From IAM leadership to the IAM Legislative Department to our IAM members, we were all united, stood up for what was right and achieved this success together.

Payroll Calendar Now Available on the IAM App

We are happy to announce that the Payroll calendar, which shows the monthly “snap shot” dates is now available on the IAM App under the Crew Pay/Payroll Dates tab.

What are “snap shot” dates?

Any trip trades that affect your current month MMG must be done by those dates in order to avoid Audit Adjustments because in accordance with the ERJ CBA, MMG is paid in the current month.

On the calendar when you see “Pulls File” any trip trades that changes your MMG that were not done prior to those dates, will have to be adjusted on a later paycheck.

Keep in mind nothing regarding the way you are paid in accordance with your CBA has changed but now the “snap shot” dates are available on the IAM App.  If you have any questions please refer to your Local Lodge grievance representatives.  To download the App follow the links below:
