After a series of delays your Negotiating Committee met with the company August 11 – 15, 2014 in Honolulu.
Present for the company was Karen Berry – VP Employee/Labor Relations; Lance Higa-Sr. Director Maintenance Planning and Warranty; Keao Mattos – Sr. Contract Administrator HR/LR; Aaron Iga – Sr. Contract Administrator HR/LR; and Stefan Knoepfel – Sr. Financial Analyst.
Representing the membership was Randy Griffith – General Chair District Lodge 142, Dave Figueira – Grievance Committee Chair, Brian Simonson – Lead Line Serviceman, and Randall Bangay – A/C Welder.
While negotiations are an inherently slow process, progress was made in the following Articles: Art. 5 – Training; Art. 6 – Hours of Service; Art. 7 – Overtime & Holidays; Art. 10 – Vacancies; Art. 12 – Vacations; Art. 15 – Discipline & Grievance; Art. 18 – General & Miscellaneous; Art. 22 – Part Time; and Letters of Agreement #3 and #15.
Future negotiations have been scheduled for the weeks of October 6, October 27, and November 17, 2014.
