IAM / PSA AIRLINES NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Negotiations were again held this week in Charlotte, North Carolina, with all members of both negotiating committees participating in this session of negotiations.  As has been communicated in the past, we have been able to maintain a very good pace and are achieving positive results based on the proposals submitted by the membership.

Discussions this week involved Articles 9, 15, 21, 24, 27 and LOA 1, with Tentative Agreements being reached in each of those Articles except for Article 21.  This brings the total number of whole article Tentative Agreements reached to date to 18.  The pace of these negotiations and the achievements at the table thus far have put us in a position where the remainder of these talks will center on comprehensive economic proposals covering Articles 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 16, 18, 19, 21 & 25.

The next session has been scheduled and will occur during the week of August 22 in Dayton, Ohio.  This extended period of time will allow your Committee to meet and conduct the work necessary to produce a fair and equitable Agreement for this membership to ratify.  Your Committee remains resolute about bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion with an Agreement you are entitled to.  We certainly hope the Company comes to the table with the mindset of rewarding our members with the wages and benefits you deserve.

The only source for accurate information concerning these negotiations will be from District Lodge 142 and will be released following each negotiating session.  As always, if you have any questions about this process, please give me a call at (859) 653-4037 or email me at .

With best wishes, we remain

Sincerely and fraternally,

James M. Samuel
