In preparation for this week, your Committee met in the District Lodge 142 offices in MCI last week to prepare as many proposals as possible for presentation to the Company this week.
Articles opened with proposals exchanged this week include 1-Recognition and Scope, 2-Classification of Work, 3-Hours of Service, 4-Wage Rules, 5-Overtime and 6-Field Service. A significant amount of work was accomplished in Articles 5 and 6 and Tentative Agreements were reached on Articles 1, 2 and 4. To date, this brings the total amount of Articles Tentatively agreed to up to eight.
The next meetings for these negotiations will occur during the week of May 23. While there remains significant work yet to be accomplished, your Committee is dedicated to bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion with the Agreement you deserve, and in the least amount of time possible.
