Over the past months, the Company’s announcement concerning their intention to eliminate the pre-65 Retiree Health Care Coverage beginning on January 1, 2017, has led to the Union filing a grievance in the interest of all of our current and future retirees. To date, no resolution has been proffered by the Company.
With no resolution on the horizon, Arbitration is the next step. An Arbitrator has been chosen to hear this case and his name is John E. Sands. If you are interested in reading more about him, you can visit this website “http://www.sandsadr.com/resume/”.
The Union has retained the services of Guerrieri, Clayman, Bartos, & Parcelli, PC to handle the arbitration which is scheduled to take place on December 13, 2016. The Company has retained the services of Roger Briton from Jackson-Lewis, LLP.
The Union will prep for this case on multiple occasions leading up to the arbitration which is set to occur on December 12, 2016. The case will be heard somewhere in the NYC area and has yet to be determined.
