On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, the initial meeting between the IAM and Southwest Airlines opened the negotiations for the Source of Support represented group. It was an exchange of documentation: the list of the covered group and job descriptions. A review of the current collective bargaining agreement that covers the CS&S Reps and the Customer Service Agents was done to identify some of the contract articles that might be applicable to the SOS Reps and others that will need to be opened to create and insert specific and necessary language for SOS. Some differences were also identified that will need to be addressed. Our next meeting is scheduled for August 19th, to commence this process. Updates will be provided.
