US AIRWAYS Maintenance Training Specialists Call For Contract Proposals

In preparation to begin negotiations for a Joint Collective Bargaining agreement at the new American Airlines, we will start collecting contract proposals from our members.  We have the current IAM agreement posted on our District website – – select US Airways under “Companies” and the contract link will be on our company home page.  We have also posted the current TWU agreement on the same page, so you can review their contract.  When you submit your proposed change, just indicate which contract your proposal is from.

The period to submit “Contract Proposals” will run from January 27 through March 1, 2015. Each proposed change should be submitted on a contract proposal form. Proposal forms can be obtained from a Shop Steward or Committe in your location, on the District Lodge 142 website at, or be submitted online via the District Lodge 142 website at:

When submitting more than one proposal, please use separate forms. All contract proposal forms must contain the following information:

  1. Identify the article, paragraph and page number to be amended
  2. Proposed contract language change or modification
  3. Example of problem or reason for change
  4. Your name, Local Lodge and employee and/or IAM Book number

All proposed changes must be submitted online or be given back to your Shop Steward or Committee by March 1, 2015 for forwarding to the Proposal Screening Committee for screening and categorization. If you have any questions about this process, please contact your Local Grievance Committee Chair.
