As you know COVID-19 has caused unprecedented changes in our industry requiring us to react sometimes in a drastic manner. I applaud each of you for all your hard work, understanding and ability to remain flexible as these changes occur. We have had to remain fluid in our decisions in order to give you the best possible outcome both remaining financially secure and providing for your health and safety as well.
As we turn the corner, this fall we will begin to resume normal operations and launch the first leg of this new journey starting with the expansion of our service to include George Bush InterContinental Airport in Houston (IAH) planned on October 1, 2020. Any questions in regard to domicile change can be found in Section 11 of the CBA. To make your selection for domicile change it can be found on commutair.info / scheduling bidding menu / upper left side (Domicile Request).
For those that select Houston as their base, during the month of October, the company has agreed to work with us to provide two (2) commuter rooms to ease with the transition. Currently there are no plans for any Positive Space travel for those commuting to IAH. Commuting will continue to echo the guidelines set forth in the CBA Section 5. If you choose to change your base, the process will be awarded by seniority as it is now.
This change will bring many questions of what is to come; the IAM will conduct a conference call on Friday, August 21st at 4:00 PM EST. In order to make the call time more efficient, please email your questions to myself or Danielle prior to the call to the email addresses listed below, this way we can have the answers ready for you.
